The Second Annual Universal Design for Learning in Higher Education conference will take place on Friday, November 8, 2019 on the Goodwin College campus in East Hartford, CT. Last year’s conference presenters and attendees spoke very highly of the event!
The +1 Transformation by Design theme embodies intentionally designed strategies or practices that operationalize the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) guidelines. No matter the learners (e.g., students, faculty, staff, administrators) or the context (e.g., classroom, student services, faculty development), the goal is creating learning experiences that are accessible, relevant, rigorous, and capacity-building.
Dr. Liz Berquist will give the keynote address entitled Universal Design for Learning: A Framework for Disrupting Inequity. She will challenge participants to consider how the UDL framework could be used to design learning experiences that move equity theory into practice.
We look forward to seeing you November 8, 2019!
